September days were busy with returning to the school routine of life and figuring out how to accomplish everything that needed to be done with only a very limited amount of evening time each day! We quickly got back into the routine of making sure the menus for the week were planned and any meal prep that could be done prior, was, for quickly made meals at night!
Poor Emma took quite a tumble and hit her forehead. The poor girl had a bruise for a long time, but thankfully, she was alright!
Still smiling while showing off her bonk!
John all ready for preschool round-up! He was excited to be able to spend some extra time with mom at school in the mornings before he goes to his classroom!
Emma recently found a passion for hats, and particularly baseball hats! Yes, she does wear the jammies we had for John to bed sometimes, so in this picture, she definitely looks all boy! I guess next summer we'll have to find a cute pink Twins hat for her!
John loved getting some new Cars friends from Uncle Larry for his birthday and happily posed for a picture with them to send to him!
The first day of preschool had finally arrived! John was so excited to go to school and we hoped the excitement would continue when he finally arrived at school! He did a great job and was ok when we left him, but he needed a few extra reassurances that we would come back to get him. After school, he loved every moment and was ready to go back the next day!
Emma loves sorting things, especially her diapers, just like her brother did!
Riding around the grocery store in a race car certainly makes our shopping trips go faster!
Emma was a great helper to make Grandma's birthday cake! John insisted we make her a firetruck cake this year!
Time to decorate the cake!
The final product! (and yes, the frosting was too runny, but we just went with it!)
Cool girl in her shades!
John and Emma have started having dance parties at any chance possible and sometimes, John will even go into the office, turn on the music on the computer and call to Emma to come and dance with him. It is priceless!
All ready for our walk!
Mmm... My first bowl of Rice Krispies cereal is amazing!!
On September 28, I was blessed to be able to witness one of my best friends, Laura, marry Josh. The day was filled with love and was a fantastic celebration of the two of them!
More fun shopping in cool carts! How can you go wrong when you get to shop like this?!
Emma loves to mix and stir! I see a baker or chef in the future!
