The beginning of August we had Emma's 2 year old pictures and John's 5 year old pictures taken, as well as some of them together as their last photo shoot of only 2 kiddos! Emma wasn't so sure of the photographer this time and wasn't really in the mood to smile, but we got a few half-smiles out of her! John was Mister Photogenic, as you can tell!
John would not allow us to take pictures and NOT get his precious Ellie in one of them with him!
32 Weeks!
34 Weeks!
Emma had to help try out Kieran's car seat to make sure it was still working well! She thought it was so funny that her legs were way too long for the seat!
New Dusty Crophopper and Minnie Mouse slippers!
On Saturday, October 12, we headed to the apple orchard on a beautiful and sunny morning to pick apples! We knew our time was getting short before Kieran was going to arrive, so we wanted to pack in as much Fall fun as he would allow me to do! The kids loved seeing the pumpkins, animals at the farm and riding on the wagon out to the apple trees. They also loved finding the biggest and best apples and filling our bag to the brim!
This is one of my favorite pictures of all time... PRECIOUS moment!!
On October 13, Joan and I hosted a baby shower for Matt and Beth and our new little niece set to arrive the middle of January. We had a take a picture with our pregnant bellies and little did I know, we would be meeting our little man only one short week later!
36 Weeks!
On Friday, October 18, we had our final doctor appointment and knew we were probably getting very close to meeting Kieran! The doctor we had seen that day (the same doctor that delivered Emma, but not my regular one) mentioned a few times that she was on call over the weekend and that she wouldn't be surprised to see us! We knew our time was REALLY short to fit in a trip to the pumpkin patch and with rain forecast the next day, we knew a Friday night trip to the pumpkin patch was a perfect choice! The kids loved going and because it was a Friday night, we pretty much had the whole patch to ourselves, so we were able to search out the best pumpkins there!
They were too big to stand IN the wheel this year!
The search is on...
Precious smiles in the sunset....
HUGS!
We found three perfect pumpkins, ready to bring home!
I had found a recipe on Pinterest for pumpkin play doh, and the kids and I had been wanting to try it out! Call it intuition or just hopeful thinking, but I had been having stronger contractions on Saturday, the 19th and thought that Kieran might be arriving soon (but not before 4pm on the 20th, but that's another story yet to come!), which meant it was play doh making time, and without delay! The house smelled delicious and the kids loved playing with their new play doh!
Up next..... October 20, a day full of family, fun and new life!
