We're Growing...

The momma to be is growing along with the baby (so's the daddy to be). Here's a pic of Ann at 15 weeks. She's smokin'!!!!!!

We heard the heartbeat!

Last Friday, the 29th, we had our first ob visit. It was great! We were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time, which was absolutely amazing. What a miracle! The baby was quite active though, so our doctor had a hard time at first finding the heartbeat and then timing it, since the baby didn't want to stop moving. Phil said we're already in trouble if the baby is that active! Just wait until I can feel all that activity... it will be bliss! Everything else looked good though! We head back for another visit on April 2. Pictures of my growing belly will soon be added too!

Other exciting news - my brother Mike and his fiance, Jeanna, set their wedding date!! They are getting married at Notre Dame on June 13th, 2009! The call in process was not nearly as difficult or painful as we had thought it may be, so that was wonderful!! My younger brother, Stephen, is also close to buying a house.... Phil's brother, Matt, is enjoying his new job in Madison, after moving there a week ago and Tim is progressing through Medical school..... and only 2.5 more weeks for us before spring break!!! Great things are happening all around us!!! :)

The UItrasound Pictures... Finally!!

Alas...the ultrasound pictures have arrived! Phil is set that it's a boy. However, I think it's a girl... yes, too early to tell, but mighty cute I have to say! Maybe I'm a little bias though, huh? NEVER!!! She looks just like her momma!!! We have our first OB appointment on Friday, so we'll let you know how that goes and what our doctor says about our little bundle. We'll have to take a picture of my tummy here pretty soon too. The maternity pants are fitting well!! It just keeps growing and growing.....

Amazing!!!

Well, we had our ultrasound today and it was amazing! There is one baby and we are due September 9th! We were told not to plan any camping trips for Labor Day weekend, since we very well could be "laboring" on Labor Day! The little guy or gal was certainly an active one! It was fun to see the baby kicking and squirming around. I can't wait until I can feel and watch it! We will post ultrasound pictures as soon as we get them scanned in so everyone can see our little bundle. I will also post a picture of me, since people have been asking to see the size of my "bump"! It is getting bigger! Our level 2 ultrasound will take place at 20 weeks, which will show us individual parts of the baby, so that will be even better!

We're Having a Baby!!!

Yes! You've heard the good news! We are going to be parents! We are thrilled! Throughout our pregnancy, we will update you on the happenings of Baby Singewald and his or her parents! We have decided not to find out the baby's gender before the birth, so that should make for some interesting conversations as well! So far, I've been feeling pretty good, but have occasionally been under the weather with morning sickness, and at times, related to the prenatal vitamins. However, I cannot complain! I just tell myself that my icky feeling at times is because the baby is growing so well! We are excited for our first ultrasound on Feb. 18 and our appointment on Feb. 29. My belly has started to pop to the point where my pants don't button, and at 9 weeks, that is a little early, so we are interested to see if our dates are correct and we truly are due in September, if we miscalculated somehow, or if we are going to be welcoming more than one new arrival. We will keep you updated!! We'll post some ultrasound pictures of the little one(s) after our appointment!
