2013 Thanksgiving / Christmas Time is Here...and Kieran's Baptism too!

2013 Wrap Up!  Thanksgiving had passed and it was time to find the perfect Christmas tree! John and Emma were more than a little excited to help us!

Our littlest Elf was not so happy with his hat on!

First time of having tomato soup and grilled cheese - yum!

Precious smiles and moments!

Yes, that tree really DOES touch the ceiling!  There was absolutely no room for the star this year.  We even had to cut about a foot off the bottom to even get it to stand up!

Life is all about the little moments, especially during the best time of the year!

All decorated and ready for Christmas!

"No, really, mom, we'll go to sleep in John's bed for a rest.  It'll be like a sleepover!"  In reality, they were like wild little giggling animals until I walked in the room and they tried to pretend that they were asleep.  However, they get some credit for not having their eyelashes flutter too much!

Little sleepy angel...

John and I enjoyed our first "date" to Llama, Llama Holiday Drama at Stages Theater in Hopkins while I was on maternity leave.  It was John's first exposure to live theater and he found that he loved every minute of it!  He was definitely interested in seeing more productions and even asked about being in shows himself some day!

Snuggle time!

Time to decorate our gingerbread house!

7 weeks since Kieran joined our family!  Time flies when you're having fun!

Kieran Milestones:
* At 7 weeks, he started to coo & smile.
* He started formula at 7.5 weeks at night and was only up twice a night and after 4 days was only up once.
*By 9.5 weeks,  he "talks" whenever we change his diaper or responds back when we snuggle & talk. *His whole face lights up at 9.5 weeks!
*On December 23, he slept through the night for the first time and continued for a few nights. *Nursing during the day is ok, but definitely harder on his tummy than formula.
*He puts himself to sleep in his crib with his music, swaddled and his nuk.
*He started sleeping through the night again Jan 8!
* At 10 weeks he enjoys chewing on his fist and smiles and tells stories, especially at diaper changes. He LOVES having his diaper changed!

Kieran is very easy going and loves smiling at John & Emma!

We found Santa in his workshop in a nearby neighborhood while we were out looking at Christmas lights, and the kids couldn't have been more excited.  They were thrilled that he was so close to our house!

Almost 2 months...

John thoroughly enjoyed every moment of his preschool Christmas program and Phil and I loved being able to watch him perform the songs he'd worked so hard on!

Kieran was ready for his 2 month check-up!

I'm not so sure I like this position....

Really, Mom?!  Did you have to put my on my tummy?  You know how much I hate that!!!

Outdoor sledding fun!  The kids loved their time in the snow!

Christmastime is here....

Loving the fact that the bags are bigger than they are!

Look what Santa left me!  John couldn't wait to play with his Octopod!

Emma was thrilled with her new princess castle too!

Grandma with all her little blessings!

Cousin love!

On Dec. 26, Kieran was Baptized!  We were so blessed to have Deacon Tim do a private Baptism for us while our family was home!

Kieran in John's First Christmas outfit...

John in the same outfit for his First Christmas!

I would say the boys definitely come from the same genetics!

Next up, 2014 in Review!
